athla [athlae] means the the 12 points of celestial circle athlon [athli] athlum [athli]
From the Greek Ἀταλάντη (Atalante) meaning "equal in weight", derived from ἀτάλαντος (atalantos), a word related to τάλαντον (talanton) meaning "a scale, a balance".
Atalanta (/ˌætəˈlæntə/; Ancient Greek: Ἀταλάντη, romanized: Atalántē, lit. 'equal in weight') is a heroine in Greek mythology.
There are two versions of the huntress Atalanta: one from Arcadia,[2] whose parents were Iasus and Clymene[3][4] and who is primarily known from the tales of the Calydonian boar hunt and the Argonauts;
At birth, Atalanta was taken to Mount Parthenion to be exposed because her father had desired a son.[4] A she-bear—one of the symbols of Artemis—whose cubs had been recently killed by hunters came upon Atalanta and nursed her until those same hunters discovered her and raised her themselves in the mountains.[2] Atalanta then grew up to be a swift-footed virgin who eschewed men and devoted herself to the huntress Artemis.[4]
Atalanta modelled herself after Artemis, wearing a simple sleeveless tunic that reached her knees and living in the wilderness.

The 12 points of the celestial circle most commonly refer to the 12 signs of the Zodiac that divide the ecliptic, or the Sun's apparent path across the sky, into 12 equal 30-degree segments. These are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpius, Sagittarius, Capricornus, Aquarius, and Pisces.
Zodiacal signs
Aries (The Ram): The first sign, corresponding to the start of spring.
Taurus (The Bull): The second sign.
Gemini (The Twins): The third sign.
Cancer (The Crab): The fourth sign.
Leo (The Lion): The fifth sign.
Virgo (The Maiden): The sixth sign.
Libra (The Balance): The seventh sign.
Scorpius (The Scorpion): The eighth sign.
Sagittarius (The Archer): The ninth sign.
Capricornus (The Goat): The tenth sign.
Aquarius (The Water Bearer): The eleventh sign.
Pisces (The Fish): The twelfth and final sign.
Other celestial points
Cardinal points: The four main points on the horizon: north, south, east, and west.
Zenith: The point in the sky directly overhead.
Nadir: The point on the celestial sphere directly below an observer.
Celestial poles: The points where the Earth's axis of rotation intersects the celestial sphere.
Equinoxes: The two points where the ecliptic intersects the celestial equator.
Solstices: The northernmost and southernmost points of the ecliptic.
Chinese astronomers divided the celestial circle into 12 sections to follow the orbit of 歲星 Suìxīng (Jupiter, the Year Star).
