The Nahuatl Where Partially Made Up Of West African Underworld Refugees
The West African Underworld is the Homeland of many of the ancient cultures around the world including some Mexican Culture. Long before Columbus and Eric the Norwegian that discovered Newfoundland, a large flotilla of West Africa Refugees drifted across the Occidental along the prevailing winds from West African along a due Westerly direction landing in various parts of Central America.
Atzlan
The ancient Origins of Mexicans were recorded long ago in various codex that made a good attampt at documenting ancient Mexican Myth regarding their origins story.
The Mexican Origin Story begins in a Place called Atzlan Land of Magpies and White Herons.
These "Underworld Myths" are based on actual ancient human history and the "Myth" was a story telling device used to inform the masses of their ancient history or sometimes their recent history in a rememberable way.
Much of Myth is truly Human History sometimes personified, sometimes fictitious, but the "setting " of the underworld is a place where much history truly occurred including the Trogon War the Exodus and the Ragn Bos Auroch resulting in Narmer's Forces retreating to Upper AEgypt in 3200 BCE - 3100 BCE also called the Boser Blick War, The War Against the Evil Eye.
As details of ancient life became murky the actual human history of the Underworld became murky and muddied as well.
This murky muddied nature of West African Underworld can be tracked to a Mega Tsunami event about 1147 BCE that led to a mass evacuation of the Underworld leading to the arrival of Sea Peoples in the Mediterranean Sea and the onset of the Bronze Age Collapse.
The Underworld was the underside of ancient maps. Ancient maps depicted the West on the bottom as it was thought that the Sun went Under the Earth at Sunset.
Atzlan The Sigüenza Map (El Mapa de Sigüenza)
This map is a cartographic history of the migration of the Aztec from Aztlán to Tenochtitlan. Created in the pictographic style typical of the central Mexican and Puebla valleys during the Post-Classical period, it is the only map of its kind known to exist. It is thought to date from the 16th century.

The map shows the path of the migration, along with the story of the places passed and of the migration itself. Alongside the glyph for each location are symbols representing the amount of time spent in each location. A trail of footprints connects these locations. The original migration of the Aztec from the mythical Aztlán to Tenochtitlan marks the historical and symbolic evolution of the Aztec people: their blessing by the gods, founding events in their history, their heroes and leaders, and finally, their settlement on the island of Tenochtitlan, from where they eventually dominated their world. The community that produced the map has not been identified with certainty, but scholars believe it most likely was Chapultepec. The document has been in the possession of historians in Mexico since the 17th century, and is named after Carlos de Sigüenza y Góngora (1645-1700), a Mexican scholar and government official who was an early student of Aztec history.
